Aircraft Safety

private jet travel option is the experience level of your flight crew.

At Desert Jet, we place high importance on recruiting the most experienced and safest pilots in the country. We do thorough background checks during the recruitment process as well as numerous in-flight evaluations before ever extending an offer of employment. The result is that our pilots have
perfect safety records and an average flight time of over 7500 hours.

As a comparison, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) only requires a pilot to have 1500 hours of experience before captaining an aircraft. Most charter companies and fractional providers such as Netjets only require 2500 hours of experience, and don’t require their pilots to have flawless safety backgrounds. At Desert Jet, we require our pilots to have at least 5000 hours of experience before we allow them to captain one of our jets. In addition, we feel so strongly about the importance of providing an experienced flight crew to you that we place two captains on every charter flight.
To keep our pilots sharp, they attend simulator-based emergency training twice per year at Flight Safety International and CAE Simuflite, as well as undergo annual specialized medical and emergency training. Crew resource management principles are emphasized throughout all training events for enhanced safety and to prevent pilot error.
While having an experienced flight crew is of utmost importance, it’s also imperative that the flight crews have the support of a good team on the ground. Our dispatchers are all FAA licensed pilots, a level of expertise that exceeds that of a regular licensed dispatcher. Most charter providers don’t have even a licensed dispatcher on staff. Our dispatchers rotate schedules so that at least one team member is available 24 hours a day to track your flight and provide assistance as needed.
The last rung of the safety chain is the maintenance performed on our aircraft. We maintain our aircraft at manufacturer-owned and authorized factory service centers to ensure they are always ready for your next flight.

When you charter your own aircraft, you’re the only one or group on the plane. Many businesses use these services, but many other people taking a vacation never gave it a second thought. Now might be the time if you want to make it to your destination when you want to get there. Plan Your Travel Time When you use a jet aircraft charter, you can choose when you leave, when you arrive and what airport you would like to arrive at when you land. You can get closer to your destination because many commercial planes can only land where designated while private charters can land at many different airports that aren’t on the commercial airlines schedule. This means that your travel plans are on your time and not
